Most people underestimate this, and not for the reason they expect. It is rarely the volume that decides it.
The honest answer
A standard two-car garage that has become storage is typically a half load, around $500, with a crew on site for a few hours.
But the range is wide, and what moves it is not how full the garage is.
What actually decides the time
Where the trailer can park. This affects the job more than anything else, and it is the detail people least often mention when they call. Backing up to the garage door is quick. Carrying every item from a shared lot or down a long driveway is a different job entirely.
Whether anything needs sorting. If you have already pulled out what you are keeping, the crew clears and goes. If decisions are being made during the job, everything slows down.
Heavy or awkward single items. A hot tub, a treadmill or a workbench that has to come apart changes the shape of the day.
Weight. Tile, concrete, paving and roofing material in a garage are priced by weight rather than volume, because that is how disposal is charged.
In Tustin specifically
Older homes around Old Town tend to have narrow driveways, tight side gates and detached garages set back from the street. That means a longer carry.
Newer developments around Tustin Ranch and Tustin Legacy often have shared parking or property management requirements for where a vehicle can sit.
Neither is a problem, but both change the time, and both are worth mentioning when you ask for a price.
How to make it faster and cheaper
Pull out what you are keeping first. That is the single most useful thing you can do. Put it in the house or to one side, and leave the rest where it is.
Group loose items. Boxes and bags rather than scattered contents.
Say what is heavy. If there is a pallet of tile at the back, that is worth knowing before we arrive.
Send a photo of the driveway. Not just the garage. The route matters as much as the contents.
