A full load is a 12 cubic yard trailer, 12 feet long by 7 feet wide by 4 feet high.

Construction Debris Is Priced Separately
Concrete, dirt, stucco, drywall, wood and plaster are far heavier than household items. Disposal on heavy material is charged by weight rather than by the space it takes in the trailer, which roughly doubles the cost.
A full load of construction debris runs $900 to $1,500 depending on what is in it. Because a load of drywall and a load of concrete weigh very different amounts, we quote this from photos or an on-site look rather than off a table.
Weight matters more in Orange County this year than last. County landfill rates went from $43.89 per ton to $67 per ton on 1 July 2026, and that increase is paid at the gate on every heavy load.
What Can Change Your Price
Where the truck can park. This affects the job more than most people expect, and it is the detail customers least often mention when they call. Backing the trailer up to the load is quick work. A long carry from a visitor space in a Tustin Legacy complex is a different job.
Carry distance and stairs. Curbside is quickest, ground floor next. An upstairs unit with no elevator takes the most crew time.
Access. Old Town Tustin has narrow gates, tight driveways and older lot layouts. Newer developments around Tustin Ranch and Tustin Legacy often have parking rules, loading areas or property management requirements. Send a photo of the route and we will factor it in before quoting.
Weight. Dirt, concrete, tile, brick and roofing are priced by weight rather than volume.

One note for businesses. Orange County’s household hazardous waste centers accept residential waste only and cannot take material from businesses, schools or nonprofits. If a clearout includes chemicals or lab material, that needs a commercial disposal route and we will say so before quoting.

Tustin Junk Removal for Landlords and Property Managers
A vacant unit full of furniture is not ready for the next tenant. We handle tenant abandonment, post-eviction clearing and turnover cleanouts. What gets left behind is rarely just furniture — it is debris in the side yard, fittings from an unfinished repair, planters, and the bins still full from the last week they lived there. We clear those too. With ten on the crew, several properties can usually run back to back in a day rather than across a week. If you are working to a move-in date, give it to us and we schedule backwards from it.
What We Cannot Take
Paint, solvents, motor oil, pesticides, pool chemicals, propane tanks, asbestos, medical waste and ammunition. These need a licensed household hazardous waste facility, and Orange County residents can drop them off free of charge. The county runs four collection centers, in Irvine, Anaheim, Huntington Beach and San Juan Capistrano. The closest to Tustin is the Irvine Collection Center at 6411 Oak Canyon, next to the City of Irvine Corporate Yard. All four centers run 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday, and close on major holidays and rainy days. Two limits worth knowing. They accept residential waste only, not from businesses, schools or nonprofits. And they do not take ammunition, marine flares, medical waste beyond sharps, or high pressure cylinders such as oxygen and acetylene tanks. If you are not sure which category something falls into, call and ask. We would rather answer the question than turn up and find we cannot take it.
Where Your Items Go
Every load gets split four ways. Usable furniture and appliances go to donation. Metal, cardboard, clean wood and electronics go to recyclers. Refrigerants, batteries, e-waste and mattresses go to facilities licensed for each. Only what is left after that goes to landfill.
Some of this is not optional.
Mattresses do not go straight to a landfill in California. The state runs a recycling program funded by a fee you already paid when you bought the mattress, created under the Used Mattress Recovery and Recycling Act and run by the Mattress Recycling Council. Foam, fiber, steel and wood get separated and reused. The rules are published by CalRecycle.
Refrigerators, freezers and air conditioners hold refrigerant that has to be recovered by a certified technician before the metal can be scrapped. That is federal law under Section 608 of the Clean Air Act, enforced by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.
Televisions, monitors and computers cannot legally go in household trash here. California treats most electronic devices as universal waste, and the California Department of Toxic Substances Control prohibits putting them in household refuse. Older screens hold lead, batteries hold lithium and cadmium, and circuit boards hold mercury.
Tustin Bulky Item Pickup or a Hauling Crew?
Tustin residents have a free option through the city's contracted hauler, CR&R, and it is worth checking before you pay anyone. Eligible single-family residential customers can get up to four bulky item collections per calendar year, with up to four items per pickup at no additional cost. The city also sets size and weight limits, listing a maximum of 8 feet long by 4 feet wide and 150 pounds per item. Multifamily residents generally go through their property manager, and different rules apply. Use the city program when your items qualify, they are already outside, and you can work around the collection schedule. Call us when you have more than four items, when the junk is still inside the property, for a garage or whole-house cleanout, for yard or construction debris, for a hot tub, for mixed material in one visit, or when a move, renovation or turnover will not wait for a collection date. We would rather you use your free city collections and call us for the part they cannot cover than pay us for something the city would have done for nothing.
